Hello, I'm Lea
Like many after the baccalaureate, it's not easy to choose your path. I already had a penchant for landscape design but I didn't want to confine myself to a single sector. I chose an engineering school in Agriculture, more general with a specialty in Management and business management. You never know it might come in handy…! During my studies, I guide my choice of internships and experiences in ornamental plants (floral exhibition, nursery, garden, etc.). In particular, I have the opportunity to work in a prestigious castle in Ireland. There, I am part of the gardening team and my manager is also a florist for weddings. He taught me everything and I loved seeing my achievements used in such emotional events as weddings.
Once graduated, I worked for a few years in the food industry in innovation and communication.
At the end of 2021, I decided to start, I passed 2 other diplomas and I created Maison Magnolia to devote myself fully to my passion for flowers and gardens.
A workshop in the Pays d'Auge
Since my childhood, I have always taken pleasure in composing with the flowers and foliage of my garden. More recently, readings and meetings at Freya Joy Garden Flowers, encouraged me to continue on this path of SlowFlower.
I find it very inspiring to work "under the constraint" of what is available at the moment. Letting yourself be carried away by what has just blossomed offers nice surprises! I dream of installing a cut flower garden at home to use them in my compositions and make them discover it to my customers.
Maison Magnolia is based at my home in the town of Saint-Pierre-en-Auge in Calvados. There is no shop like a traditional florist which gives me the opportunity to travel throughout the region for deliveries.
I want to renovate a building of this old Norman farmhouse to develop my studio. I will be able to receive clients there and organize workshops floral art.
